I am starting my own photography business and i want to add a logo to my pictures so the rights are reserved but i don’t know how i asked people in forums to help but they only help their friends apparently anything i can use to do one aside of Photoshop ?
Use this format "Copyright symbol" "The year" "Your name/the Company"
Example: © 2008 Alex Kubrick
To do it using Adobe Photoshop:
- Create a new document (File>Menu>New), make background content "Transparent."
- Use (Type Tool) from tool bar and type the format/logo you want. Save it into file.
- Open the picture you want, and use (Move tool) to add the copyright symbol into it.

I took some very good pictures on my digital camera only to realize it was on internal memory. and i am wanting to print some of them out at walmart or some other digital photography studio.. is it possible and if so how do you do this?
You should be able to save them to disks or cds and then take them to walmart or some other place that can print them out for you.

I’m not a wealthy person. I dont even have my own camera. But, this doesn’t stop me from pursuing my dream of becoming a photographer someday. I love taking pictures and editing them. But most of the time i borrow cameras from other people because i dont have my own. How do i start a career at this age if i dont even have one?
well, this is such an open ended question it becomes rather difficult to answer.
You could become an assistant (editing, printing and lighting for the rest of you life), but that’s not too fun unless you work with the best of photographers (ie gregory crewdson).
Or, you can go out and buy or make a camera. Pinhole cameras are a cheap way to get going, as is a Hola medium-format. Both of these cameras will give you a really unique look, and are cheap/easy to acquire. Also, 35mm film cameras are dirt cheap these days, so simply going to camera shop and shelling out $100 will get you started. On the other hand, you can buy an acceptable digicam these days for around $200. For info on digicams, www.dpreview.com is the hot spot for good info, and they also have a good forum system which is heavily used. There are thousands of people there that would be happy to guide you in a good digital direction.

I am going to start my own business of digital photography pretty soon but it’s hard coming up with something for the name. I am a classy, young and sassy afriacn american and filipino female in the bay area so I want something that is catchy but classy please help?????
oh.. nice.. im also a filipina and i also live here in the bay area.. but anyways.. to answer you’re question..
why not sit down and think for awhile? thinking about the name for your own studio would make it more you.. it’s your own touch..
schedule a time to sit down on a cafe for awhile or maybe your favorite spot in the house where you feel imaginative or makes you think a lot.. also if you like drinking coffee.. it does help in activating your neurons and make you "think"..
i hope i helped.. thats what i do in if im thinking of titles for my photography..

for advanced photographers…use of Photoshop…editing photos….studio/lighting/natural…color photos…small and large printing up to mural sizes
Photo essays are always crowd pleasers.
Find a theme and then shoot at least 72 images and then go over them with your instructor for ways to connect the various images and talk about other images you may want to shoot that might help complete or enhance your theme.
Usually the essay will consist of between five and seven 8×10 mounted prints.

Is it ok to use a regular digital camera on the job or should yu get a professional one like an SLR digital one? does it matter?
No offense, but if you’re looking to start a buisness in photography and you don’t know weather to use a point and shoot digital or a digital SLR, maybe you should consider taking a class or two in digital photography, so you can learn and understand why you need to have a professional camera for a professional buisness.
However, I suppose it depends on what kind of photography buisness. If you’re just doing something like snapping images for websites, or doing amature porn…. it probably doesn’t matter.

I am a ‘experienced’ photographer, the reason i say experienced and not ‘pro’ is because i’ve done photography for a while, but i don’t consider my self been an expert.
I want a new digital camera, and some equipment for a basic studio (small).
Can anyone give any links, advice, etc.
Many thanks,
Joe.
sorry,
I don’t really want to spent much over £500 (alltogether), but if theres something that WOW’s me i may consider it.
I currently have a 10megapixel Samsung digital camera.
Iam going to the states in the summer and am thinking about buying the canon 450D (xsi)…has really good write ups(look at www.dpreview.com)…and in the states it costs just under £500 which includes the lens…this is £200 cheaper than in britain so its worth looking at buying from america…

So ive been thinking about getting a half sleeve. the only thing I dont want it to keep me from getting a job in photography. I hear diffrent things and just want a straight answer
so will it hinder my photography career?
A half sleeve is easy to cover just in case. But if you want to make sure, if you are targeting a specific company for a photography job, why not ask them directly if having tattoos will effect an application. Personally, I think persons with tattoos tend to be creative and imaginative enough to be considered a slot in a profession such as photography because it’s basically categorized in arts.
