My only problem is I don’t know how to end my essay. I NEED HELP please. Thank you…
Fini?
In the beginning of your essay, you discussed your proposition, making a career as a fashion photographer and by the end you should be able to wrap up the essay with your conclusion of how feasible such a career is based upon the current economy, need for fashion photographers in your market area and the skills you intend to procure before you graduate from the uni

Whenever people ask me what i want to do as a career im mostly undecided but photography always comes to mind which is a huge hobby of mine. I’ve heard by itself its a bad career choice moneywise. I also love traveling and i want to somehow incorporate the 2 but i don’t know what kinds of careers are out there that i would enjoy. I start college in the fall and was thinking of studying photojournalism because i also like writing but i just really don’t know what other careers are out there.
You are going exactly the right direction with photojounalism. If you have what it takes for the job, you can make good money as an independent contractor or freelancer. But you have to be prepared for some lean years while you develop your reputation and skills.

Okay, so I thought I wanted to be a photojournalist…but turns out that there’s actually not much writing to it (well thats what I’ve heard atleast) Is that correct?
If yes, then what career would let me do writing more + photography?
Writting is not properly a university degree; you can choose phylology or literature. Writting skill develops while writting, same as photography one; you also can study photography. I think both marry well; some photojournalists write stories with their photographs; Walker Evans liked writting, but finally was a reknowned photographer, Lewis Carrol photographed and wrote Alice in Wanderland

After doing several courses anyone interested in the field would be really great on it. But by only doing photography, can any one make a good life? If so where in the world will be the best place to go for photography careers??
You can make a decent living with photography. Like starting any business there will be a few tough years while you build up a reputation and clients. After that you should be ok.

I’m going to school now for photography and I was wondering if there is any point in going after a photography career. I want to know if it would be a good money job and also keep money coming in, or if I should just give it up and go after another type of career.
If your good and can afford your own studio and equipment with advertising you can make a
living.Or work for a newes paper as a reporter.photographer. and i am, sure you will shoot a lot
of ladies in fashion and underwear if you haven’t all ready.don’t forget a model release.if it worries
you work at something full time and shoot weddings and what ever as a free lance.

i am really into photography and would love to persue it as a career but i really don’t want to go to university. (nothing to do with the fees)
does anyone know of any photographers that have made it without a degree?
if you need a degree for this career, does anyone know of any college courses or online courses i could take instead?
P.S. I live in the UK!
Almost ALL of the top photographers got there without a degree. Only a small percentage of professional photographers have degrees in photography.

The thing is that I’m a young mother and I’m looking for a short career and I’m really interested in photography.
there are a lot of short careered photographers…
usually ones that think they can do wedding photography with basic equipment…
they last about 2 months… and end up very stressed… and sometimes get sued by their clients…

just left univeristy where i got a 2.1 fine art degree. i am an exceptional artist and poet, and am now looking for a new path to follow.
art therapy?
photojournalism?
creative florist?!!
i dont want to be a teacher!
any advice or ideas on working in the art industry?
congrats on 2.1 that’s superb. I think you should try out different fields such as art therapy or photojournalism and just see how you find them. You could be surprised by what you find you love most.

I’ve read about photographers who walk into a company’s head quarters (like National Geographic) and after showing some samples of their work asked for a job. I am currently living in Montreal but I’m in a position to move to any part of Canada. I’m wondering where in Canada would offer the best chances at getting into a photography career.
It depends on the level of your photography and the job. Without knowing what you are qualified for there is no answer to your question.
