December 29th, 2009 by admin

Like a one similiar to Nikon D70, something of that range and having similiar features and producing best quality digital images. I am running a photography studio, I usually deal with wedding photography.

goto dpreview.com and compare them

without more info your question is like whats the best racing car simalar to an indy car, if you are running a studio you should know a little about DSLR’s?

Just make sure that it has an XLR port for an external microphone.

That is how you know you’re not buying a load of shit.

If it has XLR port for microphone, then you want to focus on its color engines. Dont worry about all the special effects (leave that up to your video editing software).

    you’ll want a D200 or D80.
They offer the most flexability in terms of preformance are price. In the end it isn’t really what camera you have but the lens you screw onto the front of it. Any nikon or canon DSLR down to the D40 can give you Pro results.

I’m a professional photographer working in an architectural photography studio. We’ve been very cautious about making the switch to capturing digitally. We mainly use 4×5 view cameras for the majority of our work. Extensive testing led us to purchase the Canon Mark II. It’s an exceptional camera that we use for anything we would have traditionally shot 35mm or 120.

Should you want an all-in-one 6.1 mp digital camera with a 36 to 432 mm "image stabilized" zoom lens, with stereo sound video capability, and you can afford $300, it’s the Canon Powershot S3IS. Especially for weddings where you have to do a lot of hand holding shots and at the same time, have full movie video capability.

Here’s the review of Steves’ Digicam: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_reviews/s3is.html

    Good luck!

I had a Nikon D70s for a little while before I bought my D200. Unless you want to get into the really high-priced pro level (D2Xs), the D200 will serve you extremely well, especially in a studio where ultra high speed continuous drive is not required.

There are others, but when I made the decision about my dream camera when I considered EVERYTHING, I chose the D200. I had owned a number of other digital cameras and finally decided that it was time to buy "simply the best" camera available, regardless of the cost. For me – and many others in the real world – this meant the D200. It doesn’t weigh 5 pounds and I don’t need all the features and burst performance that a professional sports photographer might demand.

The only other "real world" consideration, as far as I am concerned, was the Canon EOS 5D. I already owned 3 exceptional Nikon lenses, though, so my choice was clear. Not to mention, the Canon 5D costs about twice as much. Even in "the sky’s the limit" buying, relative value still counts.

See this comparison of the Nikon D200 vs. the Canon 5D. Each camera has its advantages.

I have a few photos on Flickr taken with the D200 and various Nikon lenses. Go to my page at http://www.flickr.com/photos/samfeinstein/ Near the top, click on "tags" and then click on "D200."
