What type of photography careers are these?

• When you take photos for advertisements and posters for movies.
• When you take photos during filming of movies and TV shows.

BiB – obviously can’t read very well.

First is basically a commercial/advertising photographer
Second is the stills snapper.

there are the wedding and event photographers – these range from new dsrl user to struggling pro

there are the new dslr portrait and wedding shooters their careers last about 1 to 2 months

advertising fotogs earn good coin, as do top fashion and the like shooters, theres also product which is a profitable for good operators

an event type fotog does movie/tv publicity shots

theres architecture, real estate, ariel and all sorts of careers – just avoid events and weddings if you want a long career without having to compete with all the tom dicks and kk’s

1- commercial or stock I would say.

2- I don’t know if it has a name but it’s popular with actors and studios for documentation.

For example, the BBC burned quite a few originals of Dr. Who at some point while trying to free up space in their archives. now they are scrambling to recover them from foreign tv stations and peoples attics (old BETA tapes and the likes). But they also were able to get a bunch of stills from some of the episodes and still have the audio so they allowed people to recreate the shows using stills.

    Sorry, off topic a bit.
